"Very poor service"

About: Chapel Street Medical Centre

After constantly ringing from 8:00am and was kept being cutting off, I finally got through to a rather rude receptionist. I was informed that there were no appointments and that I should call 111. I hardly ever need to go to the doctors and am glad as you can't get an appointment anyway. Think it's disgraceful that those working in hospitals (like myself) who've been in work through the pandemic can't see a doctor. The surgery needs to open up and let people back in and have a better system for organising appointments. No wonder A&E and other places arevso busy

We are sorry to learn of your dissatisfaction when trying to book an appointment recently. Managing the appointment system is a constant challenge and you will appreciate that it is difficult to design a system that equitably satisfies all requests. We acknowledge that our system is not perfect, however we are working very hard on improving access for our patients and are continually monitoring our appointment system to ensure it is as good as we can make it. Alongside this, we have been supporting the vaccination service, which has also impacted on our capacity. Any patient feedback we receive about the service we provide is very important to us, and we would welcome a further discussion in person regarding your recent experience. Dr Smith & Partners
