I was a patient in the Queen's Medical Centre day surgery for the treatment of trigger finger. All details of the condition and procedure for surgery were fully explained to me.
However, it could have been explained to my husband that I was likely to be at the Unit for 4 hours and that it would have been better for him not to wait.
