"Early pregnancy assessment. Ongoing bleeding"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

I am currently pregnant with twins and have had to attend the EPAU four times in just a few weeks due to bleeding/spotting. Each time I've been exceptionally anxious as I have a history of missed miscarriage and high risk pregnancies. Each time I've been cared for very professionally and sensitively. Anytime I have spoken to a midwife or sonographer everything has been explained to me fully and with compassion. The over the phone triage process was also always carried out as quickly as possible and with thorough assessment.

Everyone has been so kind but (midwife) Jane stands out in my mind as I dealt with her the most - 3 out of the 4 visits. She impressed myself and my husband with her knowledge and kind professionalism. Can't praise and thank everyone enough for their help in an extremely stressful time.
