"Not being heard."

About: Substance to Solution

(as a service user),

Any opinions I have aired in the last year or so I feel have been dismissed. I feel that my feelings will be disregarded as they previously have. Some of the service users I have spoken with are all concerned that they will have their script taken away including separate ones which are prescribed by their GP.

No one wants to speak out in fear of that situation. I'm low on my reduction and I feel that I am at an important stage needing follow up care on a more regular basis. Since my medical review early June I am yet to hear from my support worker.

I've had to ask for professional support elsewhere. My voice has not been heard at all. I feel like I have been blocked at every turn.

It's caused a massive toll on my family and friends and my emotional well being. You are supposed to be professionals, not use your knowledge to break people. I don't think the support staff have enough time or empathy for their clients.

It is a huge concern.

Good morning,

Firstly, can I say thank you for taking the time to give us this feedback and secondly, I'm really sorry that you feel that your opinions have not been heard by us here at the service.

We are committed at Pathways to supporting people to achieve their goals and aspirations and it sounds like that hasn't happened in this instance, and you feel you have not been supported in the right way. We feel it is really important to hear what all of our service users have to say and try to fix matters when things go wrong.

I would love the opportunity to discuss this matter with you more and see how we can work together to find a solution and an outcome you are happy with. If you could please contact me directly at Leeanne.Spencer@cgl.org.uk or call me on 07880056187 and we can arrange to meet up and discuss, I would really appreciate you taking that time.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences about our service. It is important that we hear real feedback about our service, including when things are not going so well.

This helps us to understand how things feel from a service users’ perspective so we can make any required changes.

I am really sorry that you have not had a good experience and that you have felt unheard.

To help us fully understand the situation and look how we can improve your experience, I would like the chance to speak to you in person. If you are happy to talk to me, please could you either email me at David.Sagar@cgl.org.uk or call me on 07827 985684. I would really appreciate you taking the time to contact me, so we are able to discuss this in detail and make any appropriate changes.
