About: South West Acute Hospital / Speech and Language Therapy

(as a carer),

Speech therapist called to check my mothers ability to swallow. Mum has Lewy body dementia and has had a recent choking episode. Having observed mum eating it was decided she should have a pureed diet and level 1 thickened fluids. Therapist was friendly and very knowledgeable.   Home visit was within 5 days of referral excellent service from the western health and social care trust.
