About: Bonnyrigg Day Centre Midlothian Community Hospital Western General Hospital / General Medicine Western General Hospital / Medical Assessment Unit

(as a service user),

In late June my health conditions worsened.   After speaking with 111, I was first referred to Community Hospital Bonnyrigg and then moved to Acute Recovery Unit in Western General Hospital, Edinburgh. The team of nurses along with the consultant on duty at medical base unit 2, were extremely caring, and professional. They did all, they could have to save me and consultant on duty promised to make further referrals to consultants of appropriate specialities. I am indebted and thankful to all involved but in particular to the female consultant and two nurses who looked after me, performed various tests/investigations, administered me medicines and issued much needed prescription at the time of discharge from the hospital.

My apologies for the delay in responding to this - I was struggling with the IT!

Thank you very much for posting this. It means a lot to us all when things are so busy and we don't always feel like we are providing the standard of care we would like to all the time. I hope that you are keeping well and many thanks once again for taking the time to write this.
