I was referred to the Urgent Treatment Centre (A&E) at Croydon (Mayday) hospital by 111 as I thought I had given myself food poisoning due to developing extreme stomach pain the morning after I had made myself a pork stir fry and for the following three days straight, so I had called 111 for advice...
The guys at the A&E did a fantastic job of diagnosing my issue in terms of narrowing it down to either an appendix or kidney issue - so the pork stir fry I had made, which I thought was the source of the problem, was a complete red herring!
I was admitted to the HOT Clinic and was given all the tests that were needed to pin down the issue and it was discovered that I had a very painful kidney stone!!!
The Nursing staff and the Dr who dealt with my issue were absolutely fantastic in the treatment they provided me and I was subsequently admitted to the AMU ward over night where I stayed until the following evening. The nursing staff at the AMU ward were also great in the treatment they gave me and the urinary specialist I saw was tip top.
I would just like to say a big thank you to all the staff at the A&E, HOT Clinic and the AMU ward for their care over the time I was with them, I felt I was well looked after and had confidence in them at every point in the proceedings!
I do hope this gets back to them, as they really are fantastic people and I am sure that their job can be very challenging at times so I really want to give them my very positive feedback and say thank you!
Thank you :-)
"Fantastic care"
