"My mother's care and passing in Ward 3F"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Stroke Care

(as a relative),

My sister and I would like to give our heartfelt thanks to all the staff in the Stroke Unit and particularly the nursing team in ward 3F at Crosshouse Hospital, Kilmarnock. The care our mother received was exemplary. The nursing staff could not have been kinder. Their efficiency was second to none. Not only did they care superbly for our mum they also extended that care to both of us at such a difficult time during her passing. For three days and nights they kept us fed and watered. Their care and kindness went far beyond what we ever expected. Everyone across the tiers of professions - AHP, Nursing, Care assistants and Domestics treated our mother and family with respect, dignity and compassion. We are so very grateful that our mother received the best care possible. What an example of NHS care at its best and brightest. With sincere thanks,

Dear Grateful H

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience particularly during this very sad time after the passing of your mum. I would like to take this opportunity to echo Christine and offer my sincere condolences to you and all of your family.

The staff within ward 3F and wider team within University Hospital Crosshouse strive to provide excellent care to all patients and their loved ones and knowing that this was achieved during your mum's final hours will be very rewarding to them.

My sympathies to you and your family,

Jacqueline
