"Great admiration for all the staff"

About: Waterside Hospital

(as a service user),

I am a patient at Waterside Hospital and I want to give feedback about the staff.

I've been here 2 weeks yesterday and I have great admiration for all the staff. Thats night staff and day staff - all staff have been absolutely amazing. They can't do enough for you - even after a bad night of difficult patients (like me), they come in the next day with a great big smile and are so willing to do anything that you ask.

I would think the only thing I could ask to change is the ladies and gents toilets - the ladies go in after the gents and its always a bit messy, so maybe if they had a chaperone or someone to clean in between - thats my only complaint.

Dear whiskeyrn59,

I am delighted to hear that you are progressing well in your rehabilitation in the waterside hospital and that the staff are looking after you so well!

I will ask our fantastic support services team to review the cleaning schedule on all of the wards and see what we can do. Perhaps even some wipes left in the toilet may be useful following usage.

We really appreciate your feedback, thanks again

Jenny

Hello whiskyrn59,

firstly let me apologise that as ward manager here in ward 3 waterside hospital it has taken me so long to post a response.

I too was delighted to hear that you had such a positive experience during your time here in ward 3 waterside hospital and have passed on your response to all staff.

In relation to your concerns regarding the shared toilet facilities we have made the following changes;

-cleaning wipes left in each toilet

-signs posted in each shared toilet to advise people to leave the toilet clean following use

-staff encouraged to wipe toilet seat after each patient use, for those who are unable to complete task independently

-staff advised to contact support services team when a more enhanced clean is required

thank you again for taking the time to provide us with your feedback, I hope you are keeping well,

Kinds regards,

Catherine
