My husband was admitted to QEUH. The treatment he received in all departments was outstanding. I would like to thank the staff in SATA for their initial assessment, the staff in 7C for their prompt action when his condition deteriorated, and for looking after me when I was called to attend in the early hours of Tues morning.
He spent almost a week in ICU 4. The team there were so supportive and kind. They helped him during his most vulnerable times and encouraged him when he was able to cope without the ventilator. The also took time to make sure that I was aware of all aspects of his care and were able to offer reassurance to me when I was feeling lost and helpless. It would be difficult to thank them all by name, but a special thank you to Kim the staff nurse who worked on the weekend and to Kayleigh who showed so much compassion, skill and patience with us both. A real credit to her unit .
And not to forget the team in 7A who looked after him after transfer from ICU until discharge.
Words are not enough to express my gratitude
Thank you all
