About: Pathways to Recovery - Warrington

(as a service user),

When I was given the keys to my forever home, I worried about how I was going provide furnishings for myself and my 4 year old daughter.

A lovely lady called Kathy from CGL made a referral to CAB for me, to give me some extra advice and information.

CAB were able to point me in the direction of Retail Trust, to request funding for carpets. They made an applicaion to BBC children in need for a cooker & washing machine and another charity who have kindly sent some money to buy me an orthopaedic mattress and bed.

I was also given some amazing advice relating to PIP benefits, and my limited capability to work. Kathy made some realistic points which gave me a new angle to look at things from. I was also given some budgeting advice, which I will explore further.

Sounds like you now have all the tools and resources that you need to sustain your recovery and have a happy and successful life in your new home with your daughter! So pleased that CGL have played a small part in helping you to achieve your goals.

We are really lucky to have some fantastic links to partner agencies and knowledgeable staff who can support people like you with their onward journey:-)

My experience of CGL has been absolutely brilliant, I cannot find fault anywhere, just praise, lots of praise 😁😁
