Anything else?
I would like to support the staff of this hospital who looked after our Uncle who was admitted to the emergency cardiac unit and then the cardiac ward. The team of nurses were brilliant with him (he was 90), coped wonderfully with us in a complicated next of kin situation with us 150 miles away, allowing us leniency with visiting hours when needed. They encouraged him to eat (fetching him ice cream from the canteen when he fancied it). He was terminally ill and died very quickly, but the nurses, doctors and health assistants kept him clean, changed, entertained and motivated for the whole time he was there. They were kind and treated us with candour and respect for Jack's wishes. They were completely aware that he was he full control of his faculties and never once treated him like a child and always talked to him and not about him. The Occupational Therapist was like an angel and the Marie Curie nurse was a godsend.
I am sad to read the reports, but would like to register my vote of thanks for this fantastic team!
"Wonderful, reassured, consistent, friendly and..."
