I had a telephone consultation prior to my appointment which I felt didn’t go well. Throughout the telephone conversation I felt like I was being patronised for my opinion in wanting to take a hormone break. I felt judged and with this situation happening I felt extremely nervous about my appointment.
Although the appointment came around and upon entering the building the staff were nothing but friendly and polite, I met the nurse carrying out the treatment and she was lovely also. Talking to me and reassuring me throughout the appointment. The procedure of the removal did not hurt at all. The nurse also explained thoroughly the difference between the two contraceptive pills to get a full understanding of them both and I felt the best one for me was the mini pill. I changed my mind for wanting a hormone break due to my lifestyle.
I went in to the clinic feeling anxious and left feeling so much more positive and happy.
My only recommendation is that the telephone conversation to be approached with more understanding to the patient’s request, as they were when I arrived.
