About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Cardiology (heart problems) Ward 1E

(as a parent/guardian),

Admission to ward 1E for cardiac catheterisation. 

Very clean ward with helpful, lovely and Professional staff ( and Student Nurses!)
We felt cared for  ( which was all we could have hoped for and more). 
Our very grateful thanks go to  Advanced Nurse Practioners - Alison and Donna and above all - Cardiologist- Dr Noonan. 
Our Daughter owes her life to his skill and expertise during a recent stenting procedure.
Dr. Noonan spoke ( the day prior to the operation ) with our Daughter  and ourselves , keeping us fully informed about what he hoped to accomplish. This no nonsense attitude and approach is just what we needed and helped to reassure us.
Thank you for taking the time to REALLY listen, reassure and  emit a calm manner  ( when we knew it would be a difficult procedure). 
Ward 1E , Alison , Donna and Dr Noonan, you are the best of the best!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide such warm feed-back regarding the care provided to your daughter from our various team members.

Ward 1E colleagues (including student nurses) as well as ANP's Alison and Donna have all been delighted to receive your comments, along with thanks from our Chief Nurse who read your post with joy. Having a child or young person with a serious condition can be an exceptionally challenging time, so we appreciate even more you taking the time to tell us about your experience of care.

You could not have given us higher praise regarding Dr Noonan, and for that we sincerely thank you. We are so fortunate to have an amazing Multi-Disciplinary Cardiac Team here at RHC, who put their patients right at the very heart of all that they do. Dr Noonan has been sent your feedback alongside sincere thanks from our Director and his Clinical Lead.

We are so grateful to you for getting in touch with us and letting us know that the way in which we looked after your daughter was absolutely right. It was both our honour and our pleasure to have provided that care.
