"I feel my care is in trusted hands"

About: Bridge Lane Group Practice

With all that is happening and the pressure on GPs/NHS as a whole, I can honestly say that the doctors, nursing team and A&C team I have spoken to and seen at BLGP, and treatment I have received has been great. I am listened too, followed up and communicated with in a way which works well for me.

I find the practice friendly and caring. I have always been greeted and treated politely by the front of house team, who can face subtle and up-front abuse due to peoples' frustration, and handle it much better than I ever could - even though this should not be part of their job or accepted as such. Yes, there is great difficulty getting through but I hope as the practice navigates the IT systems available, a more suitable telephone/online triage system is adopted, rather than continue with the bottleneck call service for everything at 08:00am each morning.

On my latest contact with BLGP, I received a quick response from the online contact but had to be directed back to calling to book a telephone appointment. So, the online setup does need more joined up working to remove the additional need to call at 08:00am.

Overall, once the booking hurdle was overcome, I was communicated with clearly and politely by reception, spoken with by the doctor, and seen and treated by the nurse and each and every step, past the booking process, was satisfactory. I continue to feel my healthcare is in good hands and I trust the team that makes up BLGP.
