My father was admitted with a fractured hip, which needed an operation. He had been diagnosed last year with Alzheimer’s and from day one the staff on Ward 28 were marvellous. From the ward clerk through to healthcare, assistants, nurses, physios, and the ward sister- Everyone on ward 28 made an extremely stressful time easier to bear, for the patient and his family. My father’s treatment was first class. The staff were unfailingly patient, compassionate and caring and the levels of communication with our family were exceptional. We cannot thank them enough. This was 5 star treatment. Dad and I filled in a form together regarding his interests, so if needed, when he was upset or confused they could discuss one of his interests with him. This is something that they took on board for people with Alzheimer’s- great idea. We really felt they found the time to get to know Dad and understand him, we saw his spark return, and for that will be eternally grateful. You are all absolutely amazing.
"Fantastic staff"
