About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Rheumatology (Ward 3C)

(as a relative),

My daughter in 15 and, been a regular patient since she was 2.

Overall the care I’ve observed my daughter receiving is wonderful and, all our family are appreciative of the NHS and the brilliant staff.

If I wanted to give any constructive critique, it would be to look at referrals between specialist depts. I.e rheumatology etc. We’ve experienced difficulties in lining up care when my daughter needs diagnosis/treatments across departments.

Thank you so very much for contacting us and for giving us some really useful first hand feedback.

Firstly, that is some journey your daughter and you have been on for the past 13 years and we sincerely are grateful for your very kind words regarding the care provided for her by our team members over that time. We'll share your comments with our staff along with our own sincere thanks.

Thank you for your insight into our internal referrals process. It sounds like we're not getting our communications and timings quite right in this respect. I wonder if both you and your daughter (or either of you individually) would be willing to meet with me (via. Teams or Zoom) and chat through some of your experiences as we would love to improve this, not only for you but for all our other children and young people who may have similar examples.
