About 3 years ago, my GP raised her concern about my drinking. She suggested to contact CGL. On the day of assessment (I came with my mum, who does not speak English !) I was terrified, but I quickly relaxed as I was treated as an human being: I finally admitted I am an alcoholic. I started the groups, and I still feel comfortable around the workers and my peers. I went to rehab 2 years ago, but I have relapsed. However I continue to come as i feel understood, because whatever our addiction, we are all similar and we can share openly. Along the time, I did Foundation of change, CBT, session in Whittlesey with Alison and Donne, Retrain your brain, Prism , acupuncture and Art. I want to thank all of you at CGL for your constant support, especially Andrea, Adrian, Steve, Alison and Donne.
I super enjoy the art group : moment I can stop worrying. The only point i would change : I'd like to have more 1 to 1 meeting (not necessarily with the same worker)
