"1 very rude & 1 nice receptionist "

About: Harris Memorial Surgery

On afew occasions when calling the practice I have spoken to one very nice/helpful receptionist.

However on more the one occasion, myself and partner have spoken to one rude receptionist. After calling to ask for a GP call for advice on 5month old but being told they couldn't help, I had to call 111. I have fully decided to change GP surgery.

I feel this is a shame because when we have managed to speak with a GP we have had no issues. But with how rude we have been spoken to especially regarding a child at 5 months old (when they have a duty of care to children under 5). This has fully disheartened me.

I have felt the need to write this review because as a parent you are very concerned about your child/children, to be brushed off by their own GP Surgery, you lose faith and feel other parents may need to be warned. - due to her behaviour I would not recommend the surgery.

I believe training on how to speak to patients should be given and perhaps when answering the telephone they give their name like other services. Eg 'Good Morning/Afternoon Harris Memorial Surgery .... speaking, how can we help today'

If I knew the name of the receptionist I would leave a formal complaint for rudeness and positive comments for the nice receptionist.
