I feel like this GP has forgotten that they are there to provide care.
The practice only use an online triage form which is terribly written and probably puts more people off than manage to complete it. When I do manage to complete it, it regurgitates a texts with an appointment date saying somebody will call at any point between 7:30am and 8pm on a random date 2-3 weeks away, from a random Doctor. If I don't answer the call within 2 attempts (one was whilst I was in a work meeting and the other was didn't even ring because the signal was bad), then I get a rude text saying you have been ejected and you need to start the whole process again.
Even if I do manage to answer the phone, who said I want a telephone call? Phone call appointments work for some reviews but I have a highly personal and complex health history, I'm never going to be able to get any form of meaningful support in a 3 minute phone call with a person that I've never met before.
How do they expect people to make this work in their lives? It's a city centre practice, surely the vast majority of the patient list must be working age adults. Is the main purpose of a GP practice not to support people in staying healthy and maintaining their normal lives?
It seems to me that throughout all this there is absolutely no consideration for the fact that you are there for a health concern.
