(as a service user),

Initially admitted to day surgery who looked after me extremely well and were able to give reassurance when I was anxious and scared. Can’t thank the team enough for this . I was worried about covid but the day surgery was extremely clean and staff wearing full PPE at all times . 

Was moved to ward 13 afterwards to recover and was discharged the following day . As much as I was glad to get home I do feel I could have done with an extra few days of strong pain killers as really struggled at home.

Dear Cfb2005, I must apologise for the time it has taken me to respond and also thank you for taking the time to post your feedback on Care Opinion.

I am pleased to hear that our team in Day Surgery looked after you well and made you feel at ease at what was clearly a really anxious time for you. I will pass on your kind comments, they will be delighted.

We are extremely proud of the cleanliness in our unit and the domestic staff are very much part of our team. Thank you for recognising this as they are often overlooked in patient feedback. I will be sure to share this with them and also with their management team.
