(as a relative),

My mother spent 2 weeks in ward 1. It is a bright, positive environment for rehab. All the staff are approachable, kind and efficient. Everything is spotless and the food appetising. The full range of staff (medical, nursing, physio, OT, dietician, support staff) were on hand 7 days a week to help her with rehab. 

Unfortunately, for the majority of her stay, she had to isolate with the other ladies in her bay as she was mistakenly exposed to Covid; this was NOT the fault of Whiteabbey. We were able to have virtual visits, whilst not the same, we appreciated them. 

The only negative point was with the discharge experience. However, Seaneen, social worker, was very attentive and helpful in trying to resolve the issues.

Sincere thanks for taking the time to tell us your story. I am delighted to hear of your mother's positive experience of rehabilitation. I have shared this with the entire team in Whiteabbey, this was very well received.

I appreciate the impact of being exposed to COVID19 whilst an inpatient and isolating for the stay. I am glad to hear you received virtual visiting, as this was an improvement we have had as a team.

I hope your mother has continued to improve, following discharge from Whitabbey. I wish your mother well with the remainder of her recovery.
