I have recently had a large olfactory meningioma removed and I am recovering well.
I can’t praise The Walton Centre enough .
Surgery was cancelled from January due to Covid which resulted in me having a major seizure which unfortunately I was in hospital for a few days and eventually had my operation in May. This of course was not the fault of the hospital but due to the pandemic.
I was admitted to Dott Ward and 24 hours in ITU after my operation . The staff on Dott Ward are amazing from the nurses to the hca and domestics they could not do enough for you the care was exceptional.
I was so relaxed going into theatre and this was down to the operating team anaesthetist and the nurses so friendly and reassuring .
ITU doctors and nurses very caring, Vicky my one to one nurse she was amazing I felt so relaxed with her as if I had known her all my life.
Skull based nurses specialist Chloe and Emma nothing to much trouble for them and always at the end a phone or email for any questions .
Finally my consultant Mr Yousaf I don’t use the word hero lightly but I cannot praise him and thank him enough.
Once again thank you .
