I had my first covid vaccine 4th Febuary, at Wishaw sports centre. This was a place that I could access no problem. Then lanarkshire healthboard changed location to Ravenscraig sports facility, this place is not accessible for elderly or disabled.
My 2nd vaccine was due 21st April, I asked for home visit as I knew I could not manage the Ravenscraig facility. 4 weeks later I am still waiting on 2nd vaccine. So it is now over 15 weeks since I had my first vaccine. My brother in law is in same position, and its 16 weeks since his first vaccine. I keep phoning NHS only to be told nurses will get to me. But at what point does first dose stop offering protection. It is concerning as the goverment are taking about changing programme to 8 weeks between vaccines. So how is 16 weeks acceptable.
I also have a friend who's 2nd vaccines was due 2 weeks ago, who also could not attend the ravenscraig, so had her home visit was yesterday, so she was with in her 12 weeks, I believe this is because her family work for NHS, she had it within a reasonable timescale. It has been an absolute shambles of a system.
