"Very blunt and disheartening doctor"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Gynaecology Services

(as the patient),

So had an appointment with a Dr, I have never felt so disheartened and a fraud.

Having previously had a internal ultrasound from her she asked me why did my doctor refer me to her as I did not show to gave endometriosis back when she did my scan last few years. I explained since seeing her last my pains and symptoms had worsen but she stated that I did not have endometriosis and was real blunt over the whole matter and that my doctor was wrong to send me to her.

Her bedside manner and bluntness is a disgrace, I walked away feeling like an absolute fraud and questioned myself if in fact I'm making the pain up. How the student doctor and nurse can sit there and let a patient be spoken to like that is beyond me.

Can I apologise wholeheartedly for your experience within the Gynaecology Department. I would be keen to explore this further and wonder if you would be willing to call us on 01224 554904 to discuss this further to enable us to discuss the management of your condition. With thanks.
