"Birth Experience"

About: Borders General Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I had a really positive birth experience at Borders General Hospital. I had an elective Caesarean section after a complicated previous emergency caesarean birth. All staff I had contact with from midwives to anaesthetists and theatre staff were brilliant and made the whole experience   a very calm and positive one. Everyone I had contact with were very approachable and friendly and happy to answer any questions I had. I found that everything was explained clearly to me and I was fully supported throughout the birth and my recovery. I think the nature of the staff and their people skills really helped to calm any anxieties about the birth.
