When I was at the appointment the nurse asked me to get on the bed; I asked what happens next to which they just replied just sit on the bed and we'll sort it out; which made me feel really manipulated because I'm a human, and if you're gonna stick something down my penis I should at least be informed about it before hand. I know that is for my future health and it's important, and it would of course been okay But they took away that decision away. They held back the information until I was exposed (trousers down) and at my most vulnerable. That's not the right time to explain the procedure. A better time would of been when I asked before what was going to happen.
They withheld the information and didn't allow me to make my own decision.
That wasn't right
And as a side note and not to distract from my main point but on my 2 visits the nurses were quite apathetic. Not a real problem and I understand they must see 100s of people a week and can't care about everyone but I didn't feel listened to. in short bedside manner could be improved but I would not of mentioned bedside manner if the first incident had not happened and would not of filled in this form so make of that what you will.
Thanks
