I’m lucky enough to have QVH as my local hospital which meant that when I chose to have an immediate reconstruction with my mastectomy, I was told it would be here. I felt thoroughly (COVID) safe before, during and post-surgery, and entirely confident in the team. The surgeon(s), anaesthetist, and the nursing staff were simply brilliant, and the care I received was first rate - kind, supportive, and effective. This allowed me to progress, post-surgery, at my own pace (which was faster than I’d expected), and to be discharged within a few days.

I know how fortunate I am to have a national centre of excellence for complex plastics on my doorstep, and will never cease to marvel at the skill and artistry of the surgeons, and the dedication of the whole team.
