"Help from Infant Feeding Specialist"

About: Aberdeen Maternity Hospital

(as a service user),

We had a hiccup when our baby was a few weeks old, and not putting on enough weight. Jill, the Infant Feeding Specialist, was so helpful, even though I could only meet her online, in discussing possible tongue tie issues with me, and giving me strategies to help get more breastmilk into our baby. At 6 weeks he has now put on lots of weight, and we are able to continue exclusively breastfeeding because of her help. Jill was friendly and knowledgable, and helped to build my confidence as well as my breastfeeding skills.

Dear angellibrarian.

Thank you for getting in touch to share your experience, Gill will be delighted that you have taken the time to get in touch.

Offering this advice online was challenging at the start of the pandemic, but it is great to hear that it worked well and is certainly something that we will continue to offer.

May I wish you all the best for the future.

Kind Regards

Liz
