"Disgraceful and totally unnaceptable"

Had surgery three times for the same problem in the space of 8months. The first operation was perfomed by someone who could not complete the procedure. Whilst recovering from general anesthetic had to endure pneumatic drill and demolition work in next ward. Second operation was cancelled but when eventaully recalled endured same op again but again failed. Following the general anesthetic became dehydrated. The nurse who was supposed to be looking after me (would not have been dehydrated if she was doing her job) actually stated "25 years i have been married today and now I have missed a meal with my family because of you". I could not believe what I was hearing but felt so ill did nothing about it at the time. I was told to get up and out of bed but kept telling her I felt dizzy. She took no notice until she finally checked my blood pressure and then shouted at me for being out of bed because my bllod pressure had dropped....... unbelievable, where was the care I should have been receiving. The third operation was successful eventaully (this too was cancelled until I complained). I was admitted at 07:00am because I needed a pre op drug and was told I would need to be in a bed followiing the drugs. 6 hours I was left in the waiting room on my own and not shown to a bed until after 13.00pm. So much so the anaesthatist told me they could not find me when they came to get me for surgery so my op was late and kept waiting again. This service is totally unacceptable, where did they think i would be I had checked in with reception he should have asked. I would never recommend this hopital to anyone and hope that I never end up here again. The lack of care shown just highlights the problems we hear on the news all the time. I hope that the new Altrincham hospital performs better because in future that is where I will be going.
