Spoke to my GP on phone on Wednesday regarding a lump on my face which is becoming more noticeable and bleeds at times and generally causing me concern, he asked for me to send him photos so he could review it and advised a member of the reception team would call me to discuss next steps. On the call it was advised that the doctor wanted to see me in person, I attended the surgery today where the doctor refused to let me remove my mask even though area of concern is on my face, stated it was a benign cyst and nothing to worry about. I asked if they would refer me to dermatology to have it looked at properly for peace of mind more than anything else. This was refused, stating I would be wasting their time. I am stressed about the lump and I really don't think it's their decision to make that it doesn't warrant a specialist review.
