"Giving birth to my third child"

About: Lorn & Islands Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

When I found out I was pregnant with my third child I was so delighted to have my midwife that I had had with my second. My care was second to non and with covid and the uncertainty of going to Paisley where I had my previous births I was unsure what to do, but with all my options and support from my midwife I decided to go ahead and have my third at my local hospital.

I can not describe to you how lovely my experience was, I felt so relaxed and comfortable(In between my contractions). My midwife, and the team of midwives I had that day never left my side, they kept me calm when I panicked and kept me reassured through everything. My aftercare on the day was outstanding and my postnatal care has been top.

I can not describe how thankful I am to have had such an amazing team and service.

And without a doubt if I was to have another child, I would go no where else to have my baby.

Thankyou ladies for everything you have done for me and my baby, can not thank yous enough.

Dear Jem27,

First of all congratulations on the birth of your baby, I hope you and your family are enjoying this special time.

Thank you for taking time to share your experience of care during your pregnancy and birth.

I am delighted that this was so positive and that you felt so well supported by your midwife.

I will make sure that the feedback is shared with the whole team and best wishes to you and your family.
