I have three children, all born at this hospital. The first two were easy births and I had lovely experiences with the maternity wards. My youngest was born 12 weeks early last summer and I cannot express how amazing ALL the staff were the whole time we were in the unit. From the moment I knew I would have her early to the amazing day we could take her home, we were dealt with pure respect.
I will forever be in debt to them, and currently organising a charity night in aid of the unit.
What amazed me was their ability to calm people, when I look back now, I wonder why I wasn't hysterical and how I managed to cope, the simple answer is, the staff. From the nursery nurse who taught us basic care to the paediatrician who told us when things weren't going so well. They didn't just help my baby, but helped my family.
Thankyou, for everything you have done. You are simply AMAZING!
