First of all, I would like to thank you for expressing your concerns. We would not be able to progress as a service if we did not welcome honest and critical feedback, the is how teams are able to implement changes and improve-so thank you.

I would like to begin by apologising on behalf of the team for your experience to date, particularly when it comes to your access to services and care. As a service, we apologise that this has proven to be somewhat problematic for you.

In relation to not feeling included in the development of your care plan, I would like to reassure you of the process for our staff members and that the process of planning should maintain the values of the Care Act; it should be person-led and person-centred. A care plan is not just a matter of problems, it's a way of handling the things you want or need to change in your life. Again, we apologize that you felt it wasn't your experience. As previously stated, honest feedback is an important and critical way to improve our services and implement change.

From your correspondence, I was very pleased to hear that you have had a positive experience with bereavement counselling and that it has really helped you. Building relationships with friends and family is fundamental to the recovery process, and I'm really pleased that you continue to have this support network in place.

Naturally, in this moment, you may feel that you do not want or need our service.

However, I would like to encourage you, that if in the further, you feel that you are struggling with your mental health, then going to your GP can be a good place to start to find help and would be able to let you know what support is available to you through the NHS or private services.
