"Ward 3 Perinatal care"

About: Dr Gray's Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

I was admitted to ward 3 at DGH prior to and after a C-section birth at AMH. What an amazing ward team, the care I received was exceptional, time was taken to explain and explore alternative treatment options prior to transfer to AMH and the subsequent care on my return was the difference between me experiencing more birth trauma and post natal depression. Staff were friendly and cheerful and took the time to help with breastfeeding and settling my baby. The whole experience was individualised, restful and supportive to my recovery. This level of care should be seen as gold standard for maternity care, rather than the service being run into the ground.
