Given the option to choose an appointment and book on line, I tried. On trying to enter my given password, after the second word, the cursor jumped back to the reference number box, and couldn't be persuaded to do otherwise.
The 0845 number was so busy, I was told to call back later.
The local number advised me that my hospital of "choice" (Clacton) had no orthopaedic appointment for at least 5 weeks, and Colchester would be quicker. Given that treatment continues in the hospital first chosen, Colchester is not convenient, particularly as I live nearer Clacton.
Effectively neither the I.T system nor the "choice", works. As this is my first experience of the NHS beyond GP level, I have yet to be impressed or reassured.
