"Brilliant GP practice"

About: The Alexandra Surgery

I am incredibly impressed by the help from this practice particularly as a long term patient of 20 years. Their small family practice has in my 20 years been efficient, professional, sensitive to my needs and culturally competent in the way they deliver. In my experience, I enjoy a small practice for the above reasons but more importantly their warmth and competence delivers on my confidence levels.

I really appreciate the promptness in being allocated GP appointments and this reduces worry as I know the doctor is only a phone call away.

They seem to involve patients in the life of the surgery by asking for feedback and even appear to have health navigators helping patients who may struggle with language barriers and struggle to communicate their needs effectively. Whilst I have never needed to utilise the navigators, that's a brilliant merit for this practice as it's all about trust and confidence of patients. My experience has been nothing but positive and I have felt humanised by them. They don't treat me as just another 'patient ticket number' but a patient with a name. Imagine being patient number 6 as you walk in rather than being addressed by your name. I love the personalised service.

Another positive aspect about this surgery is that the GPs are very good in my experience and I feel it is because they are a small practice and very personalised. We need more small personalised and caring practices like this in that tailor to the diverse health needs of people - Particularly ensuring those that struggle the most with language barriers can have access to such amazing personalised care.

My experience has nothing but positive.
