Admitted to hospital with severe stomach pain admitted into surgical ward 2 awaiting gallbladder removal. What a team of caring people everyone I had contact with did their individual jobs with zeal and nothing was any trouble to them. They worked in very difficult conditions with strict COVID reg. The ward had a lot of trainee nurses in placement and I watch the nurses taking time to explain show and allow them to practice different procedures even though they had so much work themselves. If that is the quality of trainees the NHS is in safe hands. When time was available the staff where keen to talk and always showed compassion and great understanding with other patients in the ward I was truly impressed. Every step on my path through to surgery was of the highest standard everything explained to my satisfaction. And only positive response from the team right up to Mr Davey the surgeon. I was in for 10 days my op was cancelled because of other priority cases which was explained on one occasion. I am now at home recovering. The senior nurses in charge of the ward and different shifts all showed great dedication and direction in the way this ward was run. And I would like to express my sincere thanks for the way I was treated.
