"Dad with Alzheimer’s"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Accident & Emergency Crosshouse Hospital / Care of older people

(as a relative),

My father had been admitted to crosshouse on Monday. Care in A and E was great. He has now been moved to the wards and has had no personal care. He is still in the same clothes he wore when admitted to hospital. Hospital has been advised my dad requires   assistance but nothing has been done. Distressed to hear he has also been put in an adult nappy when at home this is not required. During this tough times families rely on the care of the staff and in particular families of Alzheimer’s patients as we cannot communicate with our loved ones. Very disappointed that my dad has been left in this way.
