"Not all super heroes wear capes"

About: Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust / Adult mental health Miranda House

(as the patient),

I have suffered with my mental health for 22 years. I am now a 45 year old women who was previously dumped on meds and told to be on my way. Left on a scrap heap to get on with it myself.

3 weeks ago I self-referred myself to the crisis team at Miranda house Hull. With in 2 weeks I have had home visits, seen a psychiatrist and put on new meds and getting the care I need.

The moral of the story is these nurses are angels and have put my faith back into humanity. There are people that care... when they come round we laugh, talk and they make you feel like you have known them for years and do everything in their power to listen, help and get things started and sorted.

I couldn't ask for any more from the team, they are truly amazing ppl. Not all super heroes wear capes, they wear NHS badges ❤
