"Still waiting for appointment "

About: Royal Oldham Hospital

After spending over 6 hours in A&E with my 12yr old son with a fractured shoulder, we have still not heard any information from the fracture clinic and due to time we were discharged from A&E we still don't have any idea how bad the fracture is. I have not decided to go down the private sector due to be worried that my son is not getting the medical help needed.

Dear Anonymous

Firstly, I would like to thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience. Secondly, I would like to apologise for the lack of information/communication you have received, this is not the experience we want for our patients. I have passed your comment on to the teams so they are aware of your experience. If you would like to discuss this in more detail, please contact with the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on telephone 0161 604 5897, or email pals@pat.nhs.uk quoting that you have been told to do so on the NHS Website we can investigate this matter further.

Kind regards

The Patient Experience Team
