Shock referral to your hospital from mid Wales, didn’t know what to expect. A&E and assessment friendly and quick. Same with vascular team. Friday evening after a long shift for all staff involved. Admitted to ward 26s. Awake most of night, saw how busy they were, just in my bay. No irritation shown when I set off drip alarm (I moved my arm, several times! ) All patient needs were dealt with immediately. No sitting around the nurse’s station ( situated opposite my bay) “ you haven’t had your break, yet, I’ll stay here” was one comment I overheard. Guess they were busy. Saturday: busy, again. Met cleaner and porters. Friendly and chatting to us as they went about their duties. I liked that everyone introduced themselves and told me what was happening/ going to happen. Again, no irritation shown when I moved my arm ( as if, they had nothing else to do!) can understand why individuals cannot be identified as I’m certain they all were doing their “ jobs”. Pharmacy quick, didn’t have to delay departure. Can only compare you (favourably) with one other hospital and was happy with it’s care. Cannot comment on parking, didn’t use that facility. Many thanks to all concerned with my care. Obviously, very grateful to the National Health Service and all who work in it. Did I mention the scanning department? All good! A very nervous patient put at her ease. Cheese pie was delicious. Main purpose of this review: to show how many staff and departments were involved in my 24 hour stay. Pretty sure there were hundreds more patients who had greater needs. Thank you
