Parent admitted to female medical. Non verbal and can't communicate any needs. Unable to get an update from nursing staff.

This virtual visit was our only means of communication with our mum. Whilst she couldn't talk to us she was able to smile and we could see her. This provided more content to us, as before we didnt know if mum was alive or dead.

From booking to the visit, I can only express my extreme gratitude. The process was so simple, and Sylvia the booking agent so reassuring and helpful. This is a vital service and one I cannot recommend enough!

Good morning

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of the new Virtual Visiting Service in Southern Health and Social Services Trust. We recognise how difficult it is for families at the minute with the restricted visiting guidelines in place due to Covid 19. This new service has been established to try to support families and patients during this time and your story just lets us see how the important the service is to you and your mum.

I have personally shared your lovely comments with all the members of the Virtual Visiting Team, including Sylvia. They are so pleased to receive this feedback.
