Dad was admitted to Kilbryde Hospice for pain management and end of life care. Dad had prostrate cancer which had spread to his ribs and he was in constant pain.
Thankfully our GP managed to get him placed into Kilbryde where he spent the last 11 days of his life.
Our family are extremely grateful for the care and attention dad received from every single member of staff at Kilbryde. All of them are special people and I would like to extend our thanks in particular to Diane, the nurse who attended to dad during the weekend before he passed away. Thanks also to Ian who gave me an early morning call and arranged my brother and I to be by dads bedside for his final hours. I must also mention Liz Anne, the family liaison office and Willie, the chaplain who both provided care and support.
