When admitted yesterday for a complex injury caused by my long term condition, I spent quite a few hours in Minor injuries before moving to majors. I was given a trolley on the corridor and attended to by Jonathon. By this point I had been in the departments for many hours, was in a huge amount of pain and was exhausted. Jonathon was absolutely incredible throughout, he was caring, compassionate, tried to fully understand how I had been affected by my injury and condition which helped him to understand me. He was friendly, professional and kind (and funny! ) and this bedside manner and natural ability to connect meant that I felt safe, secure and validated. I really appreciated the care and anyone treated by him would be lucky. He is an asset to the department.
