"Credit to NHS"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Day surgery

(as a parent/guardian),

My son  received a nasty head injury when playing with one of his toys. We immediately took him to our local A&E which resulted in a day surgery appointment at Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.

Everyone in ward 1A were very kind to us throughout this worrying and stressful time.
I would  also like to personally thank a member of staff, who unfortunately, I did not get his name, yet he worked in the theatre and possibly could have been a theatre Porter( he collected us from the ward and took us to theatre later in the afternoon)
He  was kind , compassionate and reassured me during a time when I felt very alone, emotional and worried about my child. He is an absolute credit to the NHS- thank you!

Thank you Aldo for sharing your experience on Care Opinion. The 1A and theatre team take their caring responsibilities extremely seriously and welcome all feedback. As a team they will taken great comfort from the fact that you and your son have had a better journey because of the compassion and reassurance that they have given. I will ensure that the whole team receive your kind words with a particular focus on the porters.
