"Hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy"

I was admitted to the Surgical Admissions Lounge, Lincoln Hospital to undergo a total laparoscopic hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy in the morning. I was terrified but was called to a small consultation room to discuss my operation with both the surgeon , Miss Harper, and the anaesthetist independently, which somewhat put me at ease. I was then prepped for surgery by the nurses then walked into the operating theatre where I was put under general anaesthesia.

I came around late morning at a side area of the operating theatre having had the surgery. 3 nurses were with me ,checking my well being and reassuring me.

I was then moved onto a recovery ward and was allowed to go home the following day around 3pm.

I cannot thank the consultant, Miss Harper, the Team , the ward nurses and all the staff enough. I was extremely well taken care of and treat with respect and dignity.
