About: New Victoria Hospital / Dermatology

(as a service user),

I attended an out patient surgery at the New Victoria Hospital in Glasgow. Nurses Elaine and Jackie were fantastic. I was a little anxious and nauseous during my procedure, but they kept chatting to me to help relax me and I was offered a cold cloth for my forehead to help me feel better. Knowing I am also breastfeeding, they also adjusted my anesthesia accordingly. When I was feeling faint after the surgery was over, they offered me a surgary tea and let me lie down until I felt well enough to go home.

I felt very cared for and in professional and kind hands.

Dear Snowsx98

Many thanks for taking the time out to share you feedback about your experience in Dermatology at the New Victoria Hospital.

I am delighted that you had such a positive experience and that you were looked after so well.

Letting us know about your experience is very important to us since informing staff that they have done a great job is very satisfying.

I will pass on to the Team and in particular to Elaine and Jackie who made such a good impression.

Glad you are well and thanks again.

Con Gillespie

Good Morning Snows

I too am delighted to read your comments on your treatment at the New Victoria. As a Vic trained nurse it is good to know high standards of caring have "crossed the road"

As a new Mum your worries will be about "what if". If it is any consolation I was in your shoes and it was a cancer - and my baby will be 40 next month. Please don't hesitate to call for a chat any day between 8am and 11pm

I’m so sorry - as I read it back, I realize it was Elaine and Katie not Jackie. Can you make sure it goes to Katie? Thanks!
