"Care from Home First Team"

About: Borders Community Services / Community Nursing Borders General Hospital / Department of Medicine for Elderly Kelso Hospital / Older people's care (inpatient)

(as a relative),

My husband who suffers from Parkinson's disease was disccharged from Borders General Hospial and Kelso Community Hospial and was visited three times a week by a nurse for help with showering and given any advice necessary.  The care given by friendly, helpful, cheerful and professional people  was excellent. He was encouraged to do as much as he could for himself and was treated with repect and concern. Everthing was good and could not have been better.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback your experience of the Home First team. I will share your kind words with the team.

Home First work very hard to provide a person centered approach to the care they provide and we are glad to hear such positive words from you. I hope that your husband is making a good recovery and the care he received has helped in this process.

Kind regards,

Caroline Burgess
