Anything else?
My consultant was fantastic. He was very reassuring in almost a dismissive way but not at all offensively. He just made me feel that he knew exactly what he was doing and that I shouldn't worry (something I am extremely good at). He did exactly what he was supposed to and two months on it seems to have worked. He was not pompous or arrogant or condescending which I have found some consultants to be. The nursing staff were extremely nice although very busy and I had to remind them about some aspects of my care eg. I was supposed to be swabbed for MRSA on arrival but this never happened even despite a reminder. However, I am very grateful for the great treatment I experienced in pleasant surroundings (bearing in mind it is a hospital not a hotel) and appreciate very much the skill of the surgeon.
